Chris surreptitiously watched Jeff Hardy as he undressed. Jeff was seemingly oblivious to everyone, because he didn't have a problem with walking around in a tight pair of Calvin Kleins and nothing else. He looked good and he knew it.

And so did Chris. He continued to watch Jeff, until suddenly the younger Hardy looked up and caught his eye with a questioning gaze. Chris blushed and looked away. Then looked back, to see a seductive smile on that oh so irritating but oh so gorgeous face. Embarrassed the looked away. When he dared to look back Jeff was busy flirting with Jay Reso, kissing his cheek then whispering something that made the artist known as Christian giggle.

Chris couldn't help but sigh in disappointment, and continued changing into his ring gear in silence. Jeff and Jay shared a smile on the other side of the room; so far everything was going according to plan. When he was changed, Jeff sauntered out of the room, throwing a quick glance to Chris that the Canadian, no matter how hard he tried, couldn't avoid.

When Chris was alone he groaned. 'Chris, what the hell are you doing?' he berated himself, 'every time you see him you turn to jelly. It's like a schoolboy crush. Get a grip on yourself.' But, however hard he tried, he couldn't. Jeff had got under his skin, and all his persistent flirting and teasing was just making it worse.

Jeff seemed to take ages to get back to the locker room after the show, which gave Chris' colleagues plenty of time to tease him.

"So Chris, when are you gonna take the plunge?" Matt Hardy sat down next to his friend and grinned.

The Canadian turned cherry-red and stammered "What…d.d.d do you mean?"

Jay, Adam and Matt all laughed, and Adam slapped him on the back. "Admit to Jeff the huge crush you have on him."

"What… what makes you think that I have a crush on him?" he asked, fooling nobody.

"Oh, the way you stare at him," Jay taunted with a grin, "the way you do everything to avoid talking to him, the way you blush every time he looks at you. Oh come on Chris, you have to ask him out on a date."

"Do you think he'd say yes?" The Canadian asked worriedly. "He's always flirting with other people, he's never shown any real interest in me."

"Only one way of finding out." Matt smiled, standing up and quickly getting changed. The others followed suit and left. Chris frowned, their departure had almost seemed orchestrated.

Then Jeff entered the room, his usual, nonchalant self. He glanced at Chris and smiled, rolling his eyes and laughing silently as Chris suddenly found something interesting in his bag. He couldn't do this, he just couldn't. 'My god' he chastened himself 'you sound like a lovesick teenager Grow up Chris. Just ask him.'

Nervously he cleared his throat, "Erm, Jeff?"

The younger Hardy looked up, a gleam in his eye and a smile on his face. "Yes Chris?" His tone was innocent, his grin hardly that.

Chris lost his nerve. "Oh nothing." Even as he said the words he cursed himself. 'How could I be so stupid?'

"Did you wan to ask me something Christopher?" The way Jeff emphasised every single syllable of his name cut through Chris' body.

He looked up nervously to see Jeff slouched opposite him. He was wearing a pair of boxers and nothing else, and Chris' eyes almost came out on stalks, he looked so good.

"I… I was gonna ask…" Chris stammered, "if you wanted to go out with me sometime?"

"No I would not like to go out with you sometime." Jeff replied passively. Chris was mortified, his gaze burnt a hole in the floor. He knew it, Jeff wasn't interested. The others were probably all sat outside listening and laughing. He felt such a fool. "what I would like Chris" Jeff continued, his voice hardly suppressing a giggle, "is to go out with you tonight. I thought we could go clubbing."

The Canadian looked up, wide-eyed and shocked. Jeff finally let out his giggles. "did you really think I'd turn you down?" He walked over to where a dumbfounded Chris was sat and knelt in front of him. His voice dropped a notch "I've been waiting for you to ask me out like forever."

"You have?" was about all Chris could manage to say.

"But you were taking soooo long." The blue haired wrestler exaggerated, "I had to enlist the others to give you a push in the right direction. And of course, as punishment for taking so long, I just had to mess with your head a little."

"Brat." Chris teased.

"You love it." Jeff asserted correctly. "Now would you like to come clubbing tonight. Please?"

"Sat there on your knees you look like you're begging for me," The blond commented, a thousand images running through his head with that particular thought.

"I will if you want. " Jeff purred seductively. "Please Chris, I'd really, really, really like you to come clubbing."

"Hmmm OK." Taunting him a little, Chris ruffled his hair, then leant forward and caught a sly kiss. Jeff looked a little shocked but grinned.

"Come on then Christopher. Give me a ride back to the hotel and we can talk some." Jeff kissed his cheek back. "It'll be a first, us talking and you not blushing." As if on cue, Chris blushed again. "Chris Irvine's a lot different from Chris Jericho isn't he. A lot more reserved and shy." Jeff commented.

"Chris Jericho's the man I wish I was. Chris Irvine's the man I am. Which do you prefer?" he asked nervously.

"Chris Irvine's the man I'm going out with isn't he?" Jeff looked a little serious for the moment. "You don't have to be shy with me, or pretend you're something you're not sweetie."

The term of endearment made Chris smile. "I guess I'm just scared of disappointing you."

"Don't be. Now let me get dressed and we can go." Jeff threw on the first clothes he could find, and stuffed everything else into his bag. Now, even though orange and red wouldn't suit most people, it looked good on Jeff. He took Chris' hand and dragged him out of the room.

When the others saw them later at the club Matt shouted over "About time too Irvine." Chris looked at Jeff and thought, 'damn right'.
