Chapter 1
Wednesday Night
Randy was smiling as he said good night to his friends and walked into his and Rob's room. He had enjoyed spending time with them but he was more eager to be with Rob again. His lover had been called into a private meeting with the bosses hours earlier and Randy had not hard from him since. He was curious about the meeting, hoping it was good news, but most of all, he wanted to just be with Rob again.
Switching on the lights, Randy gave a startled gasp at seeing someone in one of the chairs and his heart sped up in a panic until he realized the identity of other person. "Damn, Rob, you scared me."
"Sorry."
The quietness of his lover's voice along with the fact Rob had been sitting in the dark and had still not looked up caused Randy's mood to darken into worry. "What's…Is anything wrong?"
"Yeah, tiger, there is." Rob held out a hand toward him. "Come here, please. I really need to hold you right now."
Fear welled up inside the young man as he quickly curled up in Rob's lap, clinging to the arms wrapped tightly around him. The room was silent but it was not a comfortable silence. It was the silence of impending disaster. Rob's body was tense and his grip was almost desperate. "Love, what's wrong?"
His lover did not answer and that worried him even more.
"Rob, please, you're scaring me."
Soft lips pressed against his temple. "I'm sorry, Tiger. I don't mean to. I just…I love you, Randy."
"I love you, too. Tell me what's wrong."
Rob didn't answer for a long time, then, "They fired me."
"What!" Randy pulled back so he could see Rob's eyes, hoping the other man was kidding, praying this was a joke. It wasn't. The hazel eyes were very serious and very sad. "When? Why?"
"At the meeting-"
"They can't do that!" Worry quickly turned to anger.
"Yeah, they can and they did."
"It's not fair, damn it! This isn't right."
"I know, tiger, I know." Rob rubbed his back soothingly. "It gets worse. I got a job with TNA."
"That's good."
"Yeah, but they want me there right away because their next show is Friday. I have to leave tomorrow."
"No! Rob, you can't!"
Rob held his young lover tightly. "I have to, tiger. I don't want to." Reaching up he cupped Randy's cheek and stared deep into his eyes. "I love you, Randy Orton, and I want to stay with you more than anything in the world. But to do that right now, I'd have to give up wrestling-"
"No." Randy did not know if Rob was going to offer to quit wrestling or not. However, even if he was, Randy could never ask him to do it. Rob loved wrestling, loved the spotlight as much as Randy did and he would never take that away from his lover. "No, you have to go there if that's where the work is." His attempt at maturity quickly broke down as he buried his face against Rob's neck, clinging to his lover. "I'll miss you, Rob, so much."
Rob took his hand and pressed soft kisses along the knuckles. "We still have tonight, tiger."
"Then make me forget that I have to let you go in the morning."
Their mouths met in a deep kiss, tongues tangling, playing, an act of love by itself. Fingers quested and explored, tracing features and body lines, slow and gentle, trying to make each moment last.
Noses bumping, mouths changed angles and hands found their way to warm skin. Shirts rose out of the way and mouths parted only to allow unwanted clothing to be lifted over heads and tossed carelessly to the side.
Fingers dug into muscle as bare chests pressed together and mouths melded into one. Hands slid over hot skin, burrowing between muscled bodies, undoing jeans to stroke hardening flesh.
Randy changed position, moving to straddle Rob's lap, giving easier access to himself and gaining better access to Rob. One hand cupped Rob's neck and the other stroked Rob's hard arousal. His forehead pressed against Robs as he panted in pleasure under Rob's firm stroking touch. Hands moved erratically and hips bucked restlessly, climax so close but fought back until the feelings were overwhelming.
Randy's body tensed and shook, spilling over Rob's hand as the martial artist's body spasmed under him, liquid heat flowing over Randy's hand.
Mouths continued to meet and explore as shoes were disposed of. Jeans were blindly pushed down lean hips as the two men slowly slid off the chair, touching and kissing, never losing contact.
Motel carpet rubbed roughly against Randy's shoulders as he stretched a long arm out to grab one of their bags, searching it with one hand, the other caressing Rob's scalp as he licked a wet trail down the younger man's neck.
Grabbing the desired bottle of lube, Randy popped the lid and poured some onto Rob's waiting hand then poured more onto his own.
Moaning in pleasure at the fingers stretching him, Randy grasped Rob's hard erection once again, his slicked hand sliding easily up and down the throbbing shaft.
There was no hurry even as need swelled inside them, wanting the ecstasy they could only find in each other.
Sliding easily into his young lover, Rob moaned Randy's name against the young man's neck. "So good, tiger, so perfect."
Long legs wrapped around Rob's lean waist, urging his lover deeper, their bodies arching, pressing together. Randy's leaking cock caught between them, caressed on all sides as muscled stomachs pressed together, sliding over the slicked, aching flesh.
Randy clung to Rob, burying his face against Rob's shoulder, taking in the musky scent of his lover, surrounded by it. His whimpered cries were muted against Rob's warm flesh as his body once more found release, fingers digging into muscled shoulders as Rob filled him, joining him in ecstasy.
Their breathing eventually slowed and the two men found their way to the bed, touching and kissing even as the younger man pushed Rob onto his back and straddled him.
Fingers traced intricate tattoos as eager hands brought the martial artist to aching hardness again. "You're going to be sore, tiger."
"Doesn't matter. It will just remind me of you, of this."
Mouth and tongue silenced any further protests as Randy took Rob into his body once more. They moved together, slow and deep, breaths coming hard and fast until they came together, finally collapsing in exhaustion.
Randy shifted off his lover's body to lie beside him, head pillowed on the older man's chest as strong arms wrapped around him protectively.
Despite his exhaustion, though, sleep did not come.
How could he let this go? He could not remember how he used to sleep without Rob beside him, holding him. The man was everything to Randy. Lover, friend, protector, savior, hero, fan. It hurt to know he was losing all of that and there was nothing he could do to stop it.
Hoping Rob had already fallen asleep, Randy sat up and turned away, staring out the window and fighting the burning in his eyes as he hugged his knees to his chest.
Strong arms wrapped around him as Rob moved to kneel behind him, hooking a chin over his shoulder. "Talk to me."
"I'm not ready for this to be over."
"Night's not over yet. We can still play."
"Not that. Not tonight. Us. I'm not ready for us to be over."
"We're not over, Randy. Why do you think we are?"
Randy let his head fall back onto Rob's shoulder, leaning more fully into Rob's embrace. "You're leaving and you'll probably find someone else-"
"Tiger, turn around." The younger man did not move and Rob pressed a soft kiss against his temple. "Please. If you do, you'll get a kiss."
Randy smiled as the promised bribe elicited so many sweet memories. Turning around, he received his promised kiss before Rob took his hands and stared deeply into his eyes.
"I'm going to TNA but I'm not leaving you. I can't. You're here." Pressing Randy's hand over his own heart, Rob continued. "You're always right here, in my heart. You will always be here. And I believe that I'm always there." Rob pressed his other hand over Randy's heart. "We love each other and I will be right here in your heart as long as you love me."
Randy covered Rob's hand with his own. "I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you, tiger, and I'll come to see you as often as I can. Things will eventually work out. Even if we have to be apart for awhile, we will be together in body to stay some time in the future. Even if it is after one of us retires. Until then, we'll visit and call and you'll be in my thoughts and my heart constantly. I love you, Randy Orton. Nothing will change that. Ever."
"Promise?" Randy blushed at the pleading tone in his voice but Rob did not comment on it.
Instead, he pulled Randy back into his arms. "I promise, tiger, with all my heart."
