Chapter 1
1991
Afton Summers' family was close friends to the McMahon Family. The only thing was, she was a 15-year-old girl that was different. She could do things using her mind, like start fires and make things move. She was sent to the McMahon's, because like most teenage girls, she was mad at the world. But by using the powers, she could use them if she got mad to make people pay. Her parents feared for her safety, as well as everyone else's. They thought Vince and his family could help her to settle down, by placing her where she couldn't let her gifts get out of control.
"Afton, your parents are worried about you," Said Vince.
"Duh Vince."
"Don't act smart, your parents want me to help you with a lot of things, and I think being around everyone here will help quite a bit."
"I don't need help--I prefer when someone pisses me off that I get to use my powers."
"No, I'm laying down this rule now to protect you and everyone else: do not use them out of anger."
"Vince!"
"Don't Vince me, it's for the best. I'm your guardian right now."
"For how long?"
"Until your 18."
"What?"
"You heard me."
"I'm not staying here for three years, I'll run away."
"And I'll have people bring you back."
"I'll tell the cops you kidnapped me."
"I have papers your parents signed over to me."
"What?"
"You heard me, and stay away from Undertaker."
"Why? He doesn't talk on or off screen."
"The man build's coffin's on screen--you might end up picking up some bad stuff from him, and I don't want you to."
"Ok dad."
"And do your homework."
"What?"
"You heard me, I'll be checking later."
"Ok." Vince left her to do her homework, but instead of obeying his instructions, she decided to take a walk. She saw the room where the on screen Undertaker built coffins. She looked in and saw one that they were going to use for that night's show. Just then, she felt an eerie presence behind her. She turned around it was the Undertaker and his creepy manager, Paul Bearer.
"What are you doing here?" Asked Paul. Undertaker backed her into the room.
"Uh nothing, just looking," she replied, as Undertaker began to work on his coffin.
"You were brought here by Vince."
"Yes, my family knows him, he's kinda like my stupid guardian for the time being." Undertaker looked up puzzled.
"Oh," Said Paul.
"Does he ever talk?"
"Not often," Said Paul.
"Oh well, I gotta go, or else stupid Vince will have my hide if I don't get my math done. Bye." She left to do her homework.
"Well?" Asked Paul.
"What?"
"What do you think of her?"
"There's something different about her."
"You think Vince knows?"
"Don't know." That night, Afton watched the show behind scenes. Taker was doing his speech about Hogan this night. After he was done and he came to the back, she stopped him.
"Thought you didn't talk?"
"Time to change." He replied as he went back to his "workshop." Afton didn't know what to make of it.
