Hunter walked back stage with arms over Ric and Dave's shoulders. He hurt so badly. When Dave and Ric helped him lay on the gurney he whispered, "How's Shawn?"
Ric sighed, "I made it look like I was trash talking and asked him if he was okay. He said he was in pain but nothing he couldn't handle until he got back here."
Hunter rolled his head to look at Ric, "What about his back?"
Ric shrugged, "I don't know. He didn't really say."
Randy moved up to the end of the bed, "I'll go check out the monitors and ask the stage people what's going on." He took off down the hall.
Dave stood to the side and let the medics look Hunter over. He watched his lover come back down the hall. 'I hope he has good news for Hunter.' "Well?"
Randy looked up at his big lover, "No body really knows anything but I was watching the monitor an he was standing up and walking around a little. So I think he is okay as far as his back." He laid his head on the chest of his larger lover. The match had scared the bejesus out of him.
Hunter laid on the gurney quietly letting the medics look over him. "I wanna see Shawn. Where is he?"
Ric looked around to see if he could catch a glimpse of the other wrestler. "I don't know. I don't see him. I'll go have a look."
One of the medics said they were going to move him to one of the empty locker rooms so it was quieter.
Ric nodded, "Okay I'll find you then." He took off down the hall toward the entrance ramp. He looked through the crowd and didn't see Shawn. He tapped someone on the shoulder, "Hey man you seen Shawn Michaels?"
The man nodded his head, "Yea man he walked back here and was quickly whisked away by the medical team. They took him in that room over there." He pointed to a locker room.
Ric walked down to the locker room and pushed the door open. He walked and smiled at Shawn, whom was laying on the table, "How are you doing kid?"
Shawn shrugged at little, "I thought my back was broken for awhile but it's just bruised. How's Hunter?"
Ric smiled. "He's okay. He's more worried about you then himself."
Shawn smiled, "I'm glad he's okay. They said I could get up anytime I wanted so take me to Hunter." He stood carefully and winced a little. "They gave me something for the pain but nothing strong enough." He followed Ric out of the dressing room and down the hall. "Do you know where you're going?"
Ric shook his head, "No the medics just said they were going to take him to a locker room but I'm sure Dave or Randy will stand outside until we get there." He chuckled at little; "You two really scared the crap out of the kid tonight. He was jumping around and hiding his face in Dave's shoulder."
Shawn smiled, "Well we wouldn't be the show stopping team if we didn't put people on the edge of their seats." He saw Randy standing out side. "Hey Randy. How's my baby?"
Randy smiled, "Hunter's fine. He's more worried about you. Before the medics left they told him to lie still for at least 5 minutes but as soon as they left he was trying to get up and find you. Dave had to threaten to sit on him to keep him laying down."
Shawn laughed. He could picture Dave sitting on Hunter to keep him still. He pushed open the door and laughed. Dave was standing beside the bed with both hands on Hunter's chest. "Hunter are you being a bad boy?"
Hunter pushed Dave out of the way and jumped off the bed. "Shawn?" He took him into his arms gently. "Are you okay? Did you hurt your back?"
Shawn smiled and laid his head on Hunter's shoulder. "I hurt it a little bit but nothing that a little sleep and some of my prescription pain killers won't cure." He looked at Hunter, "What about you? Are you hurt baby?"
Hunter shrugged, "A few bumps and bruises. The cut on my head is the worse of it."
The three of occupants of the room just looked at each other and shook their heads. They didn't understand how to people so in love could play such worse enemies on television.
Hunter and Shawn stood cuddling each other not even aware of anyone else in the room. In all the years they had been together when they fought and beat the living hell out of one another they did turn to anyone else for comfort. They didn't need anyone else. All they need was just the two of them.
