Chapter Nine

Angel kissed Scotty goodbye as Sean O'Haire watched on. After watching Scotty head to his gate to fly home Angel moved back to Sean looking up at him with worried eyes. "I'm so sorry Devil Man. I mean I got you into this and then doubted your loyalty. I don't even know how to ask you to forgive me." Sean nodded stiffly, but when Angel's arms wrapped around his waist he couldn't help but hug her back smiling. The last few days for him had been stress filled. Between the thought that he could loose the faith of this friend whose loyalty he depended on and the fuss 6that his lover had raised when he found out Sean was under suspicion, he had felt like the monster that he was often accused of being. "Are you ready for the Smackdown roster?" He found himself asking and he heard the groan muffled slightly by his chest.

Pulling back Angel looked up at Sean and he couldn't help but chuckle at the expression on her face. Taking her hand he led her towards their gate. "You look like you're getting ready to face the Executioner, Angelface." Angel sighed and shrugged her shoulders before answering. "No, just a dead man." She replied morosely and Sean paused to turn and frown down at her strange response. "I thought that you liked Mark." He half asked confused. Angel shrugged waiving a hand in the air. "I love him to death. He was like a daddy when I was here before,. I respect him more than probably any other single person in the world including Scotty and you and Shawn, but…" As she trailed off Sean frowned deeper then led her the rest of the way to the gate.

Once there he pulled her into his lap resting his cheek on the top of her head as she leaned against his chest. "Angelface, you know that you couldn't be more of a kid sister if you were one. So why don't you just spit it out?" Angel sighed staring off into the distance without really seeing anything that was there. "I guess that I'm still trying to figure out all of the Raw stuff and now I will have a while new roster of problems. I feel as incompetent as they think I am. I have a man that I have known for years who suddenly is not what I thought he was. I always thought that I would someday figure out of he was really the bastard that every says or if he was the Paul I remember. Only now I know that he's both because he is really they. Paul is still Paul the same sweet loving kind man I always knew and yet at the same time he is this person I don't know. Then there is Hunter who really is the evil bastard that everyone says and probably more than they know. I don't even know where to begin to deal with him."

"I'm afraid to think of what Mark will have to tell me. I'm, worried that he'll hate me like everyone else now that Kevin has pissed off almost everyone. I'm worried that he'll turn out to be one of those people that wasn't quite what I thought they were when I was younger. I'm afraid to think of what will happen when I see Eddie considering the warm reception that I got from Chris." Angel turns to eye Sean. "I hope you got the sarcasm in that statement."

Sean smiled kissing the top of her head before replying. "I think that it will be ok. After all you know more people on that roster than I think you realize. Jin's over there. Shannon's there even though they don't use him for anything constructive. Rey's there, too. As for the problems, well I wish that I could tell you that there aren't any but…" Sean chuckled. "It will be interesting to see how Bradshaw reacts to his new boss bring a woman. Angel made a face thinking of the know-it-all redneck. "Yeah well he better get over it quick or he'll fin his arrogant ass fired." Sean grinned over the top of her head as suddenly his lover wasn't the only thing that he was looking forward to.
