She sat across the room watching him. He was sitting talking on the phone with a friend… plotting for their return to the spotlight. She had been with him for a short amount of time… only a matter of months, but she felt like it had been forever.

She's watched him on television for years. He'd always been one of her favorites. From the furst tune she's seen him as a fuzzy-haired, babyfaced, blonde he'd been hooked. While everyone else ws watching his dark haired good looking partner… she was watching him.

There was just something about him that she couldn't get out of her mind. As time went on his hair grw nd his baby face melted away and turned into breathtaking sex appeal. When everyone else jumped on the bandwagon she just sat back and smiled not surprised in the least.

When the others were clamoring for the character she had moved on to the man. When he came on TV her friends would sit around and chatter about how sure they were that this was him. No smoke… no mirrors… this was the man live on their television.

She didn't believe it though. She knew that he was an entertainer. Off screen and away from the fans she believed in the depths of her heart and soul that the real person was little like what they saw. Her heart told her man was calmer… quieter… more like us.

As her life progressed and she grew up and selected new friends for herself she found that somehow she ended up on the outskirts of his circle… a friend of a friend. Close enough to hear about the man behind the character but not close enough to actually see him… hear him… touch him. She heard an outsider's view on the happenings in his life but not his. She heard the bare facts of what happened to his… what "Suzie" thought he must feel about things going on around him… but not how he felt in his own words.

As time went on and her trustworthiness and loyalty became known she made more friends within that circle of his. When she found herself able to call one of his best friends a friend on her own she felt honored. Never in her life had she set out to become a specific person's friend. In fact she made friends rather slowly, but treasured them when she got them.

When Scotty became her friend she didn't see him as a link to her heart's desire… that was strictly a bonus. She never poked or prodded or begged for information about him and by doing so found she was trusted with things most weren't. She wasn't seen as an HBK fan who was a friend…. But rather a friend who just happened to like HBK.

As their friendships grew and their trust in her was strengthened she was trusted more and more with how Shawn felt… what Shawn thought… the things Shawn needed. Despite all this though she still craved to know what Michael thought… how Michael felt… what were the things Michael needed… and were Michael and Shawn the same?

The more she learned about him the more she wanted to know. He was like a drug… the more she got the more she needed. The first encounter she had with him was on the phone and she didn't even know who he was. She'd been visiting her best friend and he called to talk to Scotty (her friends lover) who was also visiting. She was the only one in the house and by the time she figured out it was him they had been talking for hours. She became enchanted from almost the word hello.

He was so much quieter and down to earth than what she heard and saw on TV that it didn't even occur that this man would be HIM until he told her who he was. When she found out she was already so comfortable with him that her awe at it actually being the one person in the world that she revered above all others was no more than a passing thought. By the time she realized that she had her favorite character on the phone she was already enchanted by the man.

In the weeks and months following that first encounter she grew to learn about him from him more and more as that first conversation turned in to two… which turned into four. When she was actually granted her first face to face meeting she was already head over heels in love.

HBK was her absolute favorite wrestler… performer… entertainer ever. To her he was everything she loved in her men in the squared circle. He was a talented no fear wrestler who hesitated at no stun to challenge. The words I can't just weren't in his vocabulary. He had the mic skills to draw the crowd in to his grasp and the charisma to hold them there as long as he wanted. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for his fans. You knew when you saw him that you were about to be entertained. When you saw that special sparkle in his eyes and the cocky grin on his face you knew some trouble was fixin to be caused somewhere and couldn't wait to find out who the victim was.

HBK was brash, bold, cocky, and straight up sexy. She loved him above all others… except Michael.

Michael had enough of HBK in him to be cute but not so much that he was overbearing. HBK was sexy and unattainable. Michael was loving and her every dream. Michael was soft spoken, humble yet self confident. He was someone you could talk to and listen to for hours where she felt HBK would be too much to handle for any great length of time. HBK was that fantasy you could never give up because you safely knew you'd never catch him. Michael was warmth and comfort and that man you knew you'd love forever.

As much as she loved HBK… she'd never trade him for Michael. He was the rest of her life.

Michael hung up the phone and saw that his Angel was watching him with that warm accepting love that he'd accepted as something he could always count on even though before he'd met her he hadn't even know that it existed.

"What are you thinking baby?" Michael asked softly.

"I was thinking I love you," she replied.

Walking over he pulled her up and into his arms kissing her softly. "I love you too… forever."
