I didn't ask
They shouldn't have told me
At first I'd laugh, but now
It's sinking in fast
Whatever they've sold me
Well baby I don't want to take advice from fools
I'll just figure everything is cool
Until I hear it from you
It gets hard
The memory's faded
Who gets what they say
It's likely they're just jealous and jaded
Well maybe I don't want to take advice from fools
I'll just figure everything is cool
Until I hear it from you
Until I hear it from you
I can't let it get me off
Or break up my train of thought
As far as I know, nothing's wrong
Until I hear it from you
Still thinking about not living without it
Outside looking in
Til we're talking about it, not stepping around it
Maybe I don't want to take advice from fools
I'll just figure everything is cool
Until I hear it from you...

He'd heard the rumors of course. Even with all the attempts he made at distancing himself from most of his peers there still seemed to be those stubborn few that insisted upon calling themselves friends, but most of them he called parasites and troublemakers, only calling him up to spread some gossip or other malicious information. He's been in the business long enough to learn that most things spoken are only said to cause harm to someone. It was just never readily apparent who the object of their intent was.

Looking out the window of his London flat he told himself that they were just jealous. He was a very attractive man and most of them just wanted him for themselves. Picking up a copy of a recent People magazine he smiled at the picture on the cover then flipped through the magazine until he came to the section on his love. Finding the picture he was looking for Johnny leaned back in his recliner looking at the picture of him and Orlando. Conveniently he had torn out the picture of Orli and Kate so that he didn't have to look at her smug face. Just the thought of her touching Orlando made Johnny want to go out and invest in a Lysol bath for his lover. Some would say his dislike for her was merely jealousy, but then most people were absolute idiots.

Sighing heavily he turned his thoughts away from her and back to the picture he had wanted to look at, him with his love. Long had he sought peace and happiness, but never had he imagined that he would find it until he met Orlando. In the Englishman he had found a younger version of himself and had been enchanted by it, but at the same time there was an energy about him that Johnny himself had never possessed often causing the other man to bounce around reminding him of the Energizer Bunny. He was enough like Johnny and at the same time different enough so that the older man could not picture a time when he could possibly grow tired of looking into the other man's brown eyes.

Against his will his mind turned towards the whispers that had been forced upon him and slowly his eyes closed as he couldn't help wondering if what they said was true. He knew they'd had a long history. They'd been together all the time they had been in New Zealand, but Orlando had sworn that once the magic of LoR wore off they had found they just didn't have any real connection and let their relationship fade to save their friendship. Now it seemed though that, according to the rumors, Viggo had decided he didn't want to let anything fade and had hopped on his trusty steed and ridden to reclaim his prince… or something to that nature.

Johnny couldn't exactly blame Viggo for wanting Orli back. Aafter all he had only to lay his eyes on the young man once and Johnny had known this was someone he was going to pursue heavily if necessary, but fortunately it hadn't been because Johnny was unused to being the one doing the chasing. From day one they had seemed to just… click and once the shooting of the first Pirate's movie was over Johnny had worried several times even out loud occasionally that his lover would decide to "fade" them as well. Orlando though had firmly denied that he had any intention of looking elsewhere and Johnny had believed him. Now though he couldn't help but wonder even if only for a second if he had been a fool.

Hearing a knock on his door Johnny got up reluctantly hoping it was not another fan who had found him. Moving to the door, he opened it finding a delivery man standing there with a package. After signing for the package Johnny moved back to his chair and opened the box to find it filled with grass that was cushioning a bottle of bourbon and a horse whip. Smiling he took each out finding a card underneath which read simply, "Missing you. Love Always, O." Opening the bottle he took a sip then leaned back in his chair fingering the whip and smiled slightly remembering one of the first things he had told Orlando. "Don't pay attention to what other people are saying about you… half of them are wrong and the other half have no clue what they are talking about. The only people that know what is going on in your life are you and the people you bring into it." Slapping his cheek lightly with the whip Johnny smiled and closed his eyes. Until he heard it from Orlando he would just assume that everything was cool and long for the time when they could be together again.
