"No way!" Hunter yelled loudly. "No fucking way. You are out of your minds!" Kevin narrowed his eyes and growled. "Are you trying to back out of your end of the deal?" Kevin asked. Hunter spun around and glared at Kevin and the others. Jeff sat on the edge of the bench, dangling a black garment from his finger. He spun it around then held it out for Hunter.
Shannon sat behind Kevin, giggling loudly. Matt and Shawn were leaning against the wall, identically posed - arms crossed, legs spread, trying to look cool. Across the room, the man responsible for Hunter's dilemma sat slouched against the wall. His entire head was blood red from his laughter. Tears streaked his face and he clutched his stomach.
"What's a matter, Hunt?" PJ asked through his chuckling. "Cat got your fucking nuts?" Hunter looked at him, his face contorted in rage. "Shut the fuck up!" he yelled. PJ stood slowly, lightheaded from his laughing fit. "Hey, I ain't the one that made the fucking bet, goddamn it," he said, walking toward Jeff. He snatched the object from his hand and threw it at Hunter. "Pay up, shithead," PJ said.
Hunter turned to Kevin, trying to find a way to appeal to him, to get Kevin to save him. Without a word, Kevin pointed toward the bathroom. "FINE!" Hunter screamed at them as he went to change. "I hope this makes all of you fucking happy!!!" PJ looked down at Kevin, then across to Matt and Shawn. Suddenly, all four men burst into the laughter, collapsing onto each other. The sound of Shannon and Jeff's giggling filtered through to the bathroom, causing Hunter to scream at them once again.
When he emerged a few minutes later, the group was still rolling with laughter. "Shut up!" Hunter screamed at them again. Kevin stood and walked over to him, putting his arm around Hunter's shoulders. "Listen," Kevin said. "I know you're upset, but the bet was your idea. And you lost. So, you can do one of two things. You can pay up and stop whining about it, or you can back out, and then we'll all know what a pussy you are."
Hunter looked up at him one last time, knowing Kevin's words were true. He had to go through with it. But, it didn't mean he had to like it. "Fine," he mumbled. "Whatever." Kevin patted him on the back and turned to the others. "So," he said, "who's gonna run the controls?" PJ jumped up immediately. Hunter started shaking his head. "NO!" he yelled. "Anybody but him!"
Kevin looked around the room, trying to make a decision when Jeff spoke up. "How bout we draw for it?" he said, reaching for his notebook and pen. Kevin nodded. Jeff tore the page into 6 pieces and drew a large X on one piece. Shannon helped him fold them carefully, then put them in a plastic cup. Jeff walked over to Hunter and smiled at him sweetly, handing the cup to Hunter.
"Shake it up, baby," Jeff said. Hunter shook the cup, then held it out while each man drew out a slip of paper. Silently, Hunter prayed that PJ didn't have the one with the X. Each man slowly unfolded his paper and looked. Shannon let out a loud yelp as he held his up for everyone to see. "I GOT IT!" he yelled. Hunter groaned and shook his head. This was going to be a long night.
The group of men made their way down the hall, Hunter in front. Shannon and Jeff were far behind the group, laughing and talking. They stood waiting for the elevator. "What are you boys up to?" They turned at the sound of the deep voice behind them. "Hey, Mark," Jeff said. Shannon continued to giggle. "Watch this," Shannon whispered, pointing at Hunter.
Hunter was talking to Shawn when suddenly he jumped and yelped loudly. "Damn it!" he said, looking over at Shannon. When he saw Mark standing there, Hunter blushed. Jeff saw Hunter mumble something and the others laughed. Mark looked down at him. "What's goin' on?" he asked. "Well," Jeff said, "Hunter made a bet with PJ and he lost."
Mark nodded, waiting for the rest of the explanation. Through his laughter, Jeff continued. "He's gotta wear these." Reaching into Shannon's back pocket, Jeff pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to Mark. It was a page from a catalog, advertising the remote control vibrating thong Hunter was wearing. Jeff pointed to the description under the picture.
"See?" he said, looking up at Mark. "You put the vibrator in the little pocket. It'll work from 12 feet away!" Mark read the rest of the page and chuckled. Jeff looked up at him. "We had to draw and Shannon won!" he said. Shannon waved the little black remote control at Mark. "We're gonna have fun tonight!" he said.
Mark laughed loudly. "I might have to stick around for this," he said. Jeff grabbed his arm and pulled him along. "C'mon," he said, catching up with the others. "You can sit with us!" Mark followed the group into the elevator, laughing along with the others as Shannon occasionally turned the knob on the control from low to high and back again, causing Hunter to jump. This was definitely going to be a long night.
The club was packed when the group arrived. Hunter stood behind Kevin, trying to stay as inconspicuous as possible. All he wanted to do was make it to a table in the far corner and hide from everyone. As long as he didn't have to talk to anyone, he thought, he would be just fine. Jeff and Shannon were bringing up the rear, as usual. Shannon had the remote in his hand, moving the speed control back and forth, laughing every time Hunter made a move.
Mark spotted Vince across the room and went to talk to him. Meanwhile, Kevin had found a table for them - right in the middle of the room. Hunter started to protest, but Kevin shot him a look warning him to keep his mouth shut. Matt and Shawn were trying their best to control their laughter at the look of discomfort on Hunter's face. PJ on the other hand didn't even try. A couple of times, Shawn had asked if he needed mouth-to-mouth, which only caused the others to laugh harder.
Jeff was looking around the club, like he was searching for something. After a few minutes, his eyes lit up and leaned over, whispering to Shannon before jumping up from the table and disappearing across the room. He returned to the table with a huge grin on his face, nodding to Shannon. PJ watched them, trying to figure out what was going on. Shannon slipped him a piece of paper and he laughed. Hunter was looking across the room, so PJ slipped the note to Matt.
Matt read it and grinned. He looked over at Shannon and nodded. When Hunter turned back to the group at the table, Matt smiled at him. "Hey," Matt said, turning on his irresistible charm. "Wanna dance, Hunter?" Hunter looked around the table and saw that Shannon was not there. "Uh, sure," he said, getting up from the table. He followed Matt to the dance floor and started moving to the music.
Jeff got up and went to where Shannon was hiding. The music from the last song died down and Hunter started to leave the dance floor. Matt grabbed his arm, saying something to him. Jeff watched as the others left the table and made their way to the dance floor as well. Suddenly, the next song came on. Jeff watched Hunter's face as he realized what it was.
AC/DC was blasting throughout the club. Shannon handed Jeff the remote and watched as he turned it to full speed, while Shawn and PJ began to sing along. "YOU SHOOK ME ALL NIGHT LONG!!" they shouted above the music, laughing as Hunter twisted around, trying to escape the constant vibration in his pants. He tried to leave, but the others would step in his way, keeping him there. When the song was over, Hunter stomped back to the table.
Everyone else sat down, laughing again. Jeff and Shannon slid into their chairs. "You two are a couple of assholes," Hunter said through clenched teeth. Mark approached the table and looked over at Hunter. "Vince is lookin' for you," he said, pulling out a chair. Hunter looked up at him, horrified. "Me?" he asked. Mark nodded. Hunter groaned, looking over at Shannon. "You stay here!" he barked, leaving the table.
Shannon looked over at Jeff slyly and slipped him the remote. "Go for it," he said. Jeff waited until Hunter had found Vince, then got up from the table, following him. Kevin turned to watch the fun as Matt moved around, slipping into his lap. "This should be fun," Kevin said. Matt nodded, leaning back onto Kevin's chest. "Oh yeah," Matt replied as he saw Jeff take position.
Hunter sat down across from Vince. "You wanted to see me?" he asked, looking back at the table his friends were occupying to make sure Shannon was still there. "Yes, I did," Vince replied. "There's a gentleman here that works for the local paper. He wants to ask you a few questions. Now I know you had a rough night out there, you're tired and want to relax, but I told him you'd be more than happy to do it."
"Sure thing, Vince," Hunter said. Vince turned and motioned towards the bar. The reporter walked over and introduced himself to Hunter, then sat down as Vince left the table. Kevin and the others watched as Jeff moved to a table behind Hunter. A short ledge covered with fake ivy separated the two. Jeff listened to the conversation for a minute then looked over at his friends. PJ left the table and walked toward Jeff.
Hunter was engrossed in telling the reporter his story of struggling to recover from his latest injury to come back and win his match. Occasionally he would glance across the room, assuring himself that Shannon was still far enough away for the remote control to not work. The reporter had just asked Hunter how it felt to have fans cheering for him when he felt that familiar buzz in his pants. He quickly looked over to the table. Shannon was still there - but where were PJ and Jeff?
PJ reached across the table and took the remote from Jeff, turning it to the highest speed. Hunter squealed loudly and began to wiggle in his seat. "Um, okay," the reporter said, his face a mask of confusion. "Can I say it…excites you?" Hunter's eyes flew open in embarrassment. He tried his best to control himself, but it was taking all of his concentration. The reporter quickly finished the interview and left.
Hunter jumped up from the table and headed back towards his so-called friends. He was almost there when a trio of blonde bimbos stopped him, wanting pictures and autographs. PJ looked over the ledge and saw their golden opportunity. Grabbing Jeff's arm, they hurried over to a table right behind Hunter. As he posed with the two of the girls, Jeff turned the remote down then back up again, over and over.
The girls were giggling as Hunter writhed in between them. One of them asked if he wanted to go back to their room and they would really make him jump. PJ was laughing so hard, watching Hunter's face go from angry to uncomfortable to totally ecstatic. One girl stood next to Hunter for a picture. Jeff watched with wide eyes as she slid her hand down Hunter's back and over his ass. With a sly smile, her hand slipped between his legs from behind and Jeff cranked the remote to full speed.
The girl shrieked and jumped away from Hunter. Kevin and the rest of the group laughed when the girl slapped Hunter's face and yelled, "PERVERT!" before grabbing her friends and walking away, talking quickly. With a growl, Hunter turned toward the table and growled. Jeff grabbed PJ, shoving the remote into his hand and ran for the table…and the protection of Kevin.
He ducked down behind Kevin's chair while PJ slid into Shawn's lap. Shawn reached over and took Shannon's hand as well. Hunter slammed his hand down on the table. "THAT'S IT!!" he screamed at them, causing everyone in the club to turn and watch the scene. "I AM NOT DOING THIS ANY MORE!" Hunter continued to scream at them, which only caused the group to laugh harder.
The other wrestlers slowly made their way over to the table, wanting to know what had been causing Hunter's strange behavior. A few of them had already heard the reporter saying something about one too many chair shots or something. Right now, The Game was getting what he had always wanted, needed, craved - a captive audience.
"Never again!" he shouted. "I will never, EVER make a bet with you again!" He shook an angry finger in PJ's face. "This is all your fault! You are such an asshole! And you!" he said, pointing to the other men at the table. "You are just as bad as he is! Do you realize I just made a complete and total idiot of myself with that reporter, thanks to you and this stupid little bet?"
Jeff was laughing so hard behind Kevin that he began to shake the chair. Matt was bouncing around in Kevin's lap, causing the big man to smile even more. Shannon looked over at Jeff and winked as Mark approached the table. He placed his hand on Hunter's shoulder and said, "calm down, man. You're gonna blow a gasket, or have a seizure or something."
Hunter turned his bright red face toward Mark and spat out, "shut the fuck up! Do you know how this makes me look? Those girls are going to tell everyone that I'm some kind of sick perv! How will my fans react to that??" Shawn rolled his eyes. "Geez, lighten up!" he said. "We were just havin' some fun. You know if you had won, and PJ had been in the same situation, you would be laughin' with the rest of us right now."
Hunter tried to calm himself, breathing slowly. After thinking about it for a few minutes, he pulled out his chair and sank down, right as Jeff turned the remote to full speed again. "I HATE YOU!" Hunter screamed. Everyone collapsed with laughter. Hunter jumped from the chair and unzipped his pants. Reaching in, he removed the vibrator and threw it at Jeff in disgust. He screamed, "FUCK YOU! FUCK ALL OF YOU!" then stormed out of the club.
After the party ended, everyone made their way back to the hotel. Hunter was nowhere to be seen. The next morning they all stumbled groggily to the front desk to check out. Kevin and Matt stood by the front door, waiting on the others. PJ walked over, mumbling about coffee, with Shannon close behind. Jeff was being pulled along by Shawn, who wasn't much better off.
There were a few other people waiting in the lobby for their traveling partners, talking about the show the night before, what they planned on doing that day, and various other things. The elevator doors opened and Hunter emerged. He looked around the lobby, almost daring someone to mention the previous night. He had just handed the desk clerk his key when Kevin called to him that they would meet him at the car. As Hunter reached the door, everyone yelled out, "hey, Hunter, better shake a leg!" Hunter screamed in frustration as he ran out the door, the echoing of laughter close behind.
