The envelope lay on the counter, in the exact same place it had since he opened it yesterday. He smiled every time he walked by it, knowing and yet…not knowing what sort of promise it held. It was just a couple of lines, scrawled in an all-too-familiar handwriting. He had even taken the time last night to look up the club online and he knew what the other man had in mind - and he was more than willing to take a chance to explore all the possibilities.
It didn't matter that the club was in one of the less-than-desirable locations in the city. It didn't matter that it was a well known gay dance club. It didn't even matter that it was rumored to have one hell of a back room, where only the very…connected could gain entrance. No, the only thing that mattered was the hand-scribbled note that had rested inside the plain white envelope with the LA postmark.
It would seem rather generic to the average eye. The note was nothing more than a time, date and place. But it was the hidden message that had his heart racing, his body humming - his cock twitching.
Friday night. April 1st. 9 pm. Trilogy. 2214 Stoner Avenue (seriously). A package will arrive today - wear what's in it.
That's all it said - but it said so much more. He was throwing the last of his things into the suitcase when a knock on the door interrupted him. He rushed to the front door. anxious to see if this was the mysterious package. The postman handed him a package, about the size of a shoebox. He signed for it, thanked the man and rushed over to the kitchen counter, placing his prize next to the letter.
He turned the package over, surveying the plain brown wrap on it. Sitting on one of the stools there, he took a deep breath and counted in his head. When he reached ten, he tore into the package, looking like a small child on Christmas morning. The box underneath revealed no clue as to what lay inside, but he knew - just KNEW - it would be something…interesting.
When he lifted the lid of the box, a sheet of light blue paper fell to the floor. He picked it up, sniffing it lightly. It smelled just like…him. There was also an underlying smell…the scent of new latex. A smile spread across his face as he carefully pulled back the paper and lovingly removed the object inside. Turning it in his hands, he studied it, trying to figure out its use.
He ran his fingers over the rings of latex. They felt cool and smooth on his skin. Seeing something else in the box, he reached for it. The ringing of the phone startled him so that he dropped everything on the floor. Cursing his clumsiness, he retrieved it before picking up the phone.
"Hey." His rich voice echoed over the phone.
"Hey yourself." The Southern accent came through slightly, which meant the other man was tired. The words lilting behind it flowed throw his ears and his smile broadened.
"Sean." The single word was more a sigh of relief than anything spoken.
"Did you get your package?" He noted the amusement in the other man's voice as he looked back down at the black contraption.
"I did," he said. "What is this thing supposed to do anyway?" The silence that greeted him was almost deafening.
"You didn't read the note, did you?" Sean asked, his voice taking a tone that sent chills down Ty's spine.
"What?" he choked out.
"You. Didn't. Read. The. Note." It wasn't a question. It was a statement. And it spoke volumes. Looking down at the paper, Ty sighed.
"No, I didn't," he said softly. "I was too excited to see what my gift was." The gulp he took was almost louder than the curse on the other end of the phone.
"You know what this means, don't you?" Sean's voice chilled and thrilled him at the same time.
"I'm…not sure," Ty said hesitantly. "I don't get the bonus gift?" He smiled at his own joke, knowing full well what Sean was thinking. The indignant snort told him he was right.
"You are in serious trouble, Tyson," Sean said finally. "My suggestion is that you listen to me very carefully." Ty nodded slowly. "Oh…sorry," he said quietly. "Yes, Sean. I'll do whatever you want."
Standing in the locker room, in the middle of the rest of his class, Sean smiled. He loved it when Ty was like this. "I was going to wait until you were here before I let you wear it," Sean said, his voice even. "But since you chose to ignore my instructions, I believe you should put it before you catch your flight out here." Ty eyed the contraption again, turning it over in his hands. "How…"
His voice trailed off as Sean grunted on the other end of the phone. "Did I say you could speak?" Ty quieted, waiting for his instructions. Sometimes he wondered if he did it on purpose - provoking Sean like this. As his body began to tingle, setting a path of fire from head to toe, he knew the answer.
