BATISTA'S POV

FLASHBACK

At last, I'm back. I'm so excited to see Hunter and can't wait to be with him again. After a long trip to the Philippines, all I missed was Hunter. I thought of him every time, anywhere, and everywhere I go. Too bad that he didn't come along with me, though.

After a few minutes, the taxi stopped in front of the beautiful estate. I opened the car door and went out.

Smiling to myself, I looked at the taxi driver and gave him the fare.

"Here you go, man." I said to him.

The driver took the money and put it in his pocket. He said gratefully,

"Thanks, sir."

I smiled and walked towards the door. As I turned back, the taxi drove away. I waved goodbye, expressing my thanks. I glanced at the present which I'm about to give to Hunter. I was hoping that he'll love this, I thought. A wide smile spread across my face as I twisted the doorknob and slipped into the house silently.

I searched for Hunter's presence at the sala, but no one was around. My tired body urged me to sit down on the couch, and I did so. He might be upstairs, I thought. I sat and waited for Hunter to come down.

I was about to close my eyes when a voice from behind interrupted,

"Hey, Dave. What's up?"

Turning around, I thought it was Hunter. But sadly, it wasn't him. It was John Cena, who carried a tray with two glasses of gin on it. He smiled at me and added,

"Welcome back. You want some gin?"

My doubts flew away when John approached, setting the tray on the table. I answered him tiredly,

"Yeah, thanks man."

John sat down beside me and we started to drink. While we were drinking, we chatted excitedly about my trip to the Philippines.

"So, what do you think of the Philippines?" John asked.

"Man," I laughed," It was really cool, especially Manila. There are a lot of malls there, pubs, clubs and casinos."

"Casinos?" John repeated, "Too bad Randy wasn't there with you."

"If ever Randy was with me, I think he'll spend all his money there for chicks and gambling."

"He'll surely do that."

"John, are you down there?" a voice interrupted.

We both lifted our eyes and saw Hunter in his shorts and T-shirt, coming down from the stairs. My doubts started to come back again, like wind blowing into my inner mind. I kept silent as I hear him say,

"Hey John, what's the matter with you? I've been waiting for you upstairs for a neck massage."

I was surprised yet, I tried to control my feelings. This time, I saw Hunter looking at me. He dashed down the stairs and came up to me, patting my shoulder.

"Hi, man. I didn't know you're back. Sorry if I didn't fetch you in the airport, I was on a tired. By the way, I asked John Cena to help me fix my PC. By the way, I really miss you so much."

Hunter was about to take hold of my hand when I pushed him away.

"What's wrong, Dave?" he asked.

I dragged Hunter by the collar and rushed him in a torrent of heated words.

"Is that what you'll say to me?...How dare you, Hunter!!..." I said angrily, giving him a huge punch on the face.

Howling in pain, Hunter fell onto the floor. Quickly, John Cena rushed to Hunter's side and helped him up.

"Are you okay, babe?" He asked with concern in his voice.

Seeing this, anger started to burn in my heart. Stepping forward, I hit John with a Batista Bomb, slamming him down to the ground. Hunter looked at me in disbelief.

"Listen, Hunter. I had enough. Our relationship was all but a lie, a white lie! I thought that we were going to be together again when I come back. Now you cheated on me with John Cena? Why did you do this to me? I can't take it anymore. You cheated on me! I'm through with you,Hunter!..."

I screamed as I ran out of the house, leaving the door open.

Hunter left John and followed after me outside. I didn't pay attention to him. Seeing a taxi down the road, I waved to the driver and hopped in. Hunter was left alone.

END FLASHBACK

"Of all the nerve!" I snorted, "Hunter is such a cheater!"

Plumping on the sofa, I sat alone in my home theatre, watching GLADIATOR. I tried to calm myself down by eating some popcorn, but I felt extremely bored.

During day-off's, I watch home movies with Jayda and Hunter. They were the closest to my heart. Jayda's now in New York City, working for the Stock Market. I really miss her for such a long time. I wonder how Jayd's doing there, because it's been months that she didn't call me.

Maybe Jayda's busy, I thought, munching my popcorn. Overcame with boredom, I stared at the screen. I've been living in a relationship of lies. Rumours about Hunter and John Cena being an item were spreading, but Jayda and I don't believe in those. All that we know, Hunter and I are meant to be together.

Too bad for me, the rumours turned out right. I can't take this anymore, I whispered to myself. Before, Hunter was one guy who gave me joy, but now I realized our relationship was a white lie.

I thought of it over and over until I fell off the chair. Sooner or later, I found myself kneeling in front of the shelves. Thinking, I slowly stood up, reached for the phone and dialed JBL's number.

JBL's POV

Sitting in front of my computer, I was typing some articles to be contributed to theStreet.com. While I was busy, the phone rang. I picked it up and answered,

"Hello?"

"Hey, Bradshaw." the caller replied.

"Dave Batista? What's up?" I asked, surprised.

"Oh, nothing. Just bored." Dave answered.

"Bored?" I repeated, propping up my legs on the nearby chair, "I think you're having a problem with someone, right?"

"Kinda."

"Listen, Dave, you're not fooling anyone. You're heartbroken, right?" I asked.

I hear Dave pause for a while. Then he answered me,

"Yeah. Me and Hunter are..."

"What?" I asked.

"We're over." Dave answered sadly.

"Over? Since When?"

"Last night."

"Yeah."

"So?"

"By the way, have you got any news of Jayd?"

"Jayd? You mean Jayda Harley?"

"Yup."

"Jayd got married to Matt Striker two weeks ago. My dad officiated their wedding. Too bad you didn't come." I smirked.

"Oh, that sucks. I didn't expect to be in the main event." Dave laughed.

"But someone came for you instead. He took your place."

"Who?"

"Hunter."

"Damn cheater!" Dave screamed over the phone angrily.

"Hey, calm down, Dave. Hunter still loves you, you know. You two are a perfect pair."

"Perfect pair?" Dave repeated, screaming, "How come we could be a perfect pair when I found out that Hunter cheated on me with John Cena?"

"Is that true?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yeah. It all came out that my relationship with Hunter was all but a white lie." Dave answered, crying.

"Ok, then?" I added with concern in my voice.

"Bradshaw... I mean John, would you please come over here?... I really need you."

"Ok, don't worry. I'll be right there." I said, hanging up.

After a few hours, I arrived at Dave's apartment and knocked at the door. He opened it and greeted me, trying to hide his feelings.

"Hi, John, come in."

I stepped inside, leaving Dave to close the door behind us. We went to his home theatre, which was located upstairs. Dave opened two cans of beer and handed one to me, then we sat on the comfy chairs and chatted.

"I'm glad that you came here, John." Dave said.

I looked down at my can of beer and stared at Dave.

"Why is that?" I asked.

"It's good that there is someone who understands my feelings." he answered, drinking his beer.

"Listen, Dave. I'm not a psychologist. I am just a simple person who is hated by tons of WWE fans." I said and drank my beer.

"Simple? Hated?" Dave repeated, "I think no. There are many WWE Fans who appreciate you a lot."

"Is that so?" I added.

"Yup. There are a lot of girls in the Philippines that like you a lot. They're all WWE Fans."

"Well, that's great. Too bad I didn't get to see them." I laughed.

"Someday I'll go there again... with you." Dave said.

"With me?"

"Yes." Dave answered, leaning on my shoulder.

I was stunned at this. I tried to laugh my head off or push him away, but I couldn't. My feelings caused me to freeze like a statue. I'm not supposed to do it, I thought, But Dave really needs me right now. We might be mortal enemies in the business, but in this kind of life, Dave's really a nice guy. I just can't stop to help people who are in need.

In reality, I'm not a heartless person.

I felt Dave's fingers running over my lips, tracing it gently. This touch sent shivers down my veins as I looked at Dave. He gave me a slight kiss on the lips, placing his head once more on my shoulder. Dave closed his eyes, as if he's safe with me.

My heart started to beat hard, and sweat came rolling down my forehead. Surprisingly, Dave wiped it away with his hand, caressing my neck. I caught my breath. This wasn't a dream, for I feel it personally, without any boundary that hinders my feelings.

I blessed a slight kiss on Dave's forehead in return, as I pulled him closer to my side.

THE END.
